- Trump signs four memoranda:
- Reverse Obama administration halt of Keystone XL oil pipeline (refers to specific private company Transcanada)
- Reverse Obama administration halt of Dakota Access oil pipeline
- Memorandum requiring the secretary of Commerce to come up with a plan to mandate American-made steel for all new, expanded or retrofitted pipelines in the United States
- Memorandum to all federal agencies to review manufacturing regulations

- Trump signs Executive Order 13767 directing Homeland Security to begin constructing a wall on the Mexico – United States border
- Trump signs Executive Order 13768 which cuts funding to sanctuary cities who refuse to comply with immigration enforcement measures
- Trump announces that he intends to seek an investigation into voter fraud in the 2016 presidential election
- Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto cancels a proposed meeting with Trump due to the controversy where Trump suggested Mexico to pay fully for the wall
Day 8 – Jan-27
- Trump signs Executive Order 13769 which suspends the Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days and denies citizens of Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for 90 days Muslim Ban

- Calls for budget negotiations regarding the expansion and strengthening of the U.S. military
- Trump signs Executive Orders 13770: Five year ban on lobbying for presidential appointees after leaving the White House
- Trump signs One memoranda:
- Directing his generals to put together a plan within 30 days for defeating ISIS
- Executive Order 13769 goes into effect. U.S. District Judge grants a stay of the executive order which allows those with valid visas to temporarily remain Muslim Ban
